Welcome to Mo Body & Soul, where the focus is on wellness, creativity, and creating safe spaces for Black women. Founded by Monique Bowles, Mo Body & Soul began as a natural hair salon and has grown into a brand that prioritizes connection, empowerment, and community.

For Monique, hair has always been more than just styling—it’s a medium to build relationships and foster a network of incredible Black women. Over the years, she has not only created a space where her clients feel seen and supported but also built a thriving community of women who uplift one another.

Monique’s passion lies in constantly learning, building authentic connections, and helping other women grow. She’s now training the next generation of hairstylists, sharing her expertise to ensure that others can continue her work of providing exceptional care for Black hair.

Her journey as an entrepreneur inspired her to launch the first campaign under Mo Body & Soul, Respect the Process. This campaign embodies patience, authenticity, and embracing every step of growth—from planning and execution to collaboration and self-discovery.

As part of her commitment to giving back, Monique created BLK Hair Care, a free program for Black cosmetology students. This initiative addresses the lack of education in Black hair care and provides students with the tools, techniques, and confidence to thrive in the beauty industry.
